THE BUZZ: Check out the first gameplay footage of the recently announced God of War: Ascension.

The mode being featured is known as Domination, and pits two teams of four against one another, with the aim being to defeat a giant cyclops. More details on the game’s multiplayer can be found here.

You can also check out some screenshots of the game here.

EGM’s TAKE: Santa Monica has managed the capture the very essence of the game’s single-player and somehow transfer it into multiplayer. The epic one-on-one battles, the giant enemies and a lot of gore. If you’re going to attempt to add multiplayer to a franchise, then this is how you go about it. We can’t wait to see more.

What do you think? Are you happy with the addition of multiplayer? Let us know in the comments below.
