Titanfall

Stig Asmussen, the former God of War creative director who helmed God of War III, is now with Respawn Entertainment, studio co-founder Vince Zampella informed Polygon during E3 last week.

According to Polygon’s report, Asmussen has been with Respawn Entertainment for “a couple of months” and is not working on Titanfall. Of course, rumors abound that Titanfall 2 is in the early stages of development, and that the sequel will be heading to PS4 as well as Xbox One and PC. None of this, of course, is confirmed or officially announced—just rumblings in the ether.

Asmussen departed SCE Santa Monica this past March, after 11 years with the studio, following the cancelation of the unannounced new IP he was developing and the layoffs that affected his team. Asmussen was involved all God of War console projects shy of last year’s Ascension, starting as lead environment artist on the original game, art director on God of War II, and finally creative director on God of War III.
