God of War

God of War‘s game director continues his sharing of the game’s development experience with another episode of his director commentary playthrough.

Game director Cory Barlog’s first commentary playthrough episode dropped earlier this week, in which Barlog took fans through the intro of the game and discussed the design secrets behind each of the scenes. The new episode continues on from shortly after the previous one, starting right before the boss fight against The Stranger.

Between God of War featuring a plethora of open-world activities, and the fact that the commentary’s first two episodes vary greatly in length, it’s hard to say how long Barlog’s playthrough will actually take, but there are presumably many more installments to come.

In other God of War news, a recent update introduced a photo mode to the game. The feature is far more than a simple screen capture tool, allowing users to mess with a variety of settings, like choosing which characters appear in frame, and even altering their facial expressions.

He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
