God of War

The adventure continues for God of War‘s Cory Barlog, as the newest episode of the director’s commentary playthrough covers key moments deep into the experience.

With the previous episode ending with the conclusion of The Stranger boss fight, the new episode shows us just how much the series is skipping. The third episode jumps quite a bit forward into the game’s campaign, so much so that we won’t detail the events here to save those who haven’t played.

There was a minor jump in time between the first and second episodes, but the size of the jump between the second and third makes it clear that Barlog’s commentary series will only touch on particular moments in the game. This, in turn, makes predicting the exact number of episodes in the series difficult.

Fortunately, it seems every PlayStation player on earth can recognize the blanks in the video series for themselves, considering how much the game has sold in the past month. After setting a new record for the fastest selling PlayStation 4-exclusive game ever, God of War proceeded to up the ante by becoming the best-selling PlayStation exclusive, period.

Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
