GOG.com has kicked off its holiday sale today, offering discounts on more than 600 games in its library between now and December 29.

To begin the sale, GOG.com if offering Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel for free for the next 48 hours. Due to the Fallout franchise rights changing hands from developer Interplay Entertainment to Bethesda at the end of this year, GOG will no longer be selling them in 2013. However, if you buy them before the end of the year you will be able to keep them forever.

Each day of the sale, registered GOG.com members will receive a Mystery Box, which can contain free games, vouchers, and notices of special sales. Finally, the GOG.com community can vote on two game bundles each day that they would like to see receive an 80 percent discount.

GOG.com recently announced their money-back guarantee program, which will allow customers to claim a full refund within 30 days of a purchase if the game won’t run on their system and support can’t help.
