Matter, film director Gore Verbinski’s (The MexicanPirates of the Caribbean) Xbox 360 Kinect game announced at E3 2012, has been canceled, according to reports.

“Microsoft Studios is no longer pursuing this title,” a Microsoft representative told Joystiq. “We have no further details to share at this time.”

Developed by Blind Wink Games, Matter was expected to launch on Xbox Live Arcade this year.
