GovX Releasing Medal Of Honor: Warfighter “Military Edition” For Charity
Posted on June 13, 2012 AT 03:08pm
GovX, the world’s largest e-commerce store for members of the U.S. Armed Forces and similar government agencies, is launching a charity benefit for the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter with a special “military-only” edition.
As the name suggests, this limited release will only be available for current, retired, and reserve military personnel to purchase on GovX, and will include unique in-game content supplied by EA, such as special camouflage. Linked with EA’s Project Honor initiative, special operations weaponry and gear manufacturers (whose products are featured in the game) will be donating to the Navy SEALs Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
If you’re part of the armed forces, you can pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Military Edition right now.
Although the general public won’t be able to purchase it, this special edition will have a large impact on various foundations. From every copy GovX sells, a portion of the profits will be donated towards groups like the AFA Veteran Benefits Association and National Association for Uniformed Services.
