THE BUZZ: Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has announced a new update will be released for Gran Turimso 5 this week.

He confirmed via Twitter that the patch will be released February 7, but failed to provide any details. “GT5, the next update next Tuesday. Is scheduled for 2/7,” reads the Tweet.

EGM’s TAKE: Over a year after the game released the development team has been on a mission, releasing a series of successive updates and several pieces of DLC for the game. The most recent patch to version 2.03 brought a slew of bug fixes, along with new gameplay features and support for several DLC cars. Fans must be pleased with the service they have received since the launch of patch 2.02, which provided a complete overhaul to the game. Not many games garner this much love and affection from developers so long after their initial release.
