Sony has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto III is finally heading to the PlayStation Store this week for PlayStation 3.

There’s been no official news on a European release also happening this week, but it stands a good chance. Grand Theft Auto III will set you back $10 and is a straight up port of the PlayStation 2 version meaning no HD graphics and no Trophy support. This is for pure nostalgia only.

ESRB ratings for both Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City were spotted back in June, but so far we’ve heard nothing about the latter getting a release.

Will you buy a straight up port? Let us know in the comments below.
