Gravity-defying Action Puzzler Rochard Heads to Steam

THE BUZZ: Finland-based game developer Recoil Games today announced that their “action-packed side-scrolling puzzle platformer” Rochard will be hitting PCs everywhere on November 15th. Available via Valve’s Steam service, Rochard will come in at $9.99 in the US, £7.99 for the UK and 9.99€ for the rest of Europe.
“Rochard is a fun, original experience designed to test players’ wits and coordination,” said Recoil Games founder Samuli Syvähuoko in today’s announcement. “We’re incredibly excited to bring this game to PC users, since it’s a natural fit for gamers across consoles as well as on PC. We can’t wait to see PC gamers take Rochard through his adventure and watch the fun ways they use the game’s mechanics to manipulate gravity and solve all of the challenges and puzzles.”
EGM’s TAKE: What’s a little amusing about this announcement is that Rochard was just part of Sony’s “Only on PSN” promotion on the PS3. Of course, in the world of console video games, a title is still considered to be exclusive to your system even if it also comes out on PC or Mac. I’ve never really understood that line of thinking, to be honest.
