Team Gravity, the slice of SCE Japan Studio responsible for PS Vita’s Gravity Rush released a short trailer teasing something new in store for protagonist Kat.
The bulk of the trailer (embedded below) is made up of environment concept art, but ends with protagonist Kat wall-running up the edges of a few floating structures before landing atop a large building. It concludes with text that reads “Fall again” and “a new project by Team Gravity,” implying a full-blown sequel, though it could potentially just be DLC for the original Gravity Rush.
Gravity Rush is the brainchild of Keiichiro Toyama, creator of survival horror games such as Silent HIll and Siren. According to Toyama, who served as director on Gravity Rush, he had the idea for the title in mind more than ten years, that Gravity Rush was in fact the first game he wanted to create and that the idea predates the conceptual workings of Silent Hill.
Gravity Rush launched in North America and Europe in June 2012. In his EGM review, Eric described Toyama’s PS Vita title as more than “just the best game to grace the Vita?it’s also one of the best games I’ve played in some time, no matter the system. In so many ways, it shines with a beauty that so many games can never achieve, and it’s an experience you’ll absolutely not want to miss.”
