THE BUZZ: One of the most interesting games of the Vita’s launch is Gravity Rush. Well, except for the fact that it’s now coming a little after launch.
EGM’s TAKE: It was looking as if Gravity Rush would be included in the huge flood of games released alongside the Vita here in the States. Unfortunately (or fortunately), that isn’t the case—both Amazon and GameStop now list the game as coming on May 29th. Not too far away, but still far enough out to no doubt break the heart of some gamers out there who will be getting their Vitas next week (or this week for you First Edition Bundle folks).
The reason I said “fortunately” in the above paragraph is that, really, this may be for the better. A lot—A LOT—of games are coming along with the Vita’s launch, and for an awesome yet somewhat niche title like Gravity Rush, it would be extremely easy to get lost in the shuffle.
This way, the Vita will come out, people will snatch up some of the launch games, and by the time they’re ready to get their hands on something new, Gravity Rush will be coming along to satisfy that urge.
