GTA 3 Confirmed for Mobile Release to Celebrate 10th Anniversary

THE BUZZ: Rockstar has announced that to celebrate Grand Theft Auto 3′s 10th Anniversary the game will be getting an iPhone and Android re-release.

The anniversary will occur on October 22nd and will signal the release of GTA 3 on, ”select new generation iOS and Android devices.” Mobile versions of the game will be available to try at new York Comic-Con from October 14-16.

Full list of supported devices:

Apple iOS Devices: iPad 2, iPhone 4S.
Android Phones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2.
Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

EGM’s TAKE: You would have thought that a HD re-release would be the obvious choice but Rockstar has decided to go down a different route. One thing though: How well will this version control, without a controller.
