THE BUZZ: A group of Grand Theft Auto fans have joined forces to recreate Grand Theft Auto III using the Rage engine, which powers GTA IV.

The remake makes use of a number of GTA mods including GTA III HD Cars, GTA SA: Liberty City, Project Oblivion and GTA III HD.

EGM’s TAKE: This is some pretty impressive work from a group of modders. They’ve obviously taken a lot of time and effort to recreate the game to this standard. Players who never had a chance to play the original on PS2 should certainly keep an eye on this one. Many fans claim that GTA III was the best in the series, however we rate GTA: Vice City as the greatest.
