Grand Theft Auto

Developer Rockstar Games might already be hard at work figuring out ways to make you spend additional money on Red Dead Redemption 2, but that doesn’t mean it’s forgotten about squeezing you for your last few pennies in Grand Theft Auto Online. The developer recently released its first teaser trailer for GTA Online‘s next expansion, and it’s hoping to revitalize Los Santos’ nightlife.

According to a recent blog post, GTA Online‘s next expansion will allow players to purchase and manage their own nightclubs. Owners will be able to customize their clubs’ setups, interior design, talent, staff, and how shows are promoted. Similar to motorcycle clubs, players can also use their nightclubs as fronts to take on new missions and activities that will bring in even more money and influence.

The teaser trailer shows world-famous DJs Solomun, Black Madonna, Dixon, and Tale of Us spinning records at what we’re assuming is a player-owned nightclub. We’re not sure exactly where these “clubs and warehouses” will be located, though we’re hoping you can fully explore the interiors of the clubs, as you could with the aforementioned motorcycle clubs.

GTA Online‘s nightclub DLC will launch sometime in July. Prior to launch, players who log onto GTA Online anytime between now and July 2nd will get on a “guest list” that will net returning players from July 3rd to July 9th GTA$300,000 and a new bodysuit, as well as subsequent weekly cash bonuses, discounts on the forthcoming MTL Pounder Custom, exclusive vehicle liveries, new clothing options, and more. Given the information here, we’re guessing this means that the update is launching sometime between July 3rd and July 9th.

Grand Theft Auto V is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
