THE BUZZ: Take-Two revealed just how popular the Grand Theft Auto series really is by releasing some up-to-date figures.

During a talk at ThinkEquity’s annual Growth conference, Take Two boss Strauss Zelnick announced that the series has shipped 114 million units. The latest game, GTA IV, shipped 22 million units, half a million more than GTA San Andreas.

EGM’s TAKE: This figure is set to rise even further when GTA V eventually hits shelves, but will it enjoy the same success as its predecessors? We think so!
