Guacamelee‘s Costume Pack DLC, scheduled to launch today on PSN for PS3 and Vita, has been temporarily delayed after a glitch caused by the companion patch was discovered.

The patch—which, according to a post from developer DrinkBox Studios, is required for the DLC—allows players to switch characters at checkpoints, and adds luchadora Tostada to the Vita version. Unfortunately, when the patch went live today, a bug was discovered: When players obtained the Pollo Power, which allows the player-character to transformer into a chicken (analogous to Samus’ morph ball), they suddenly fund themselves unable to transform back into a human. This abruptly halted game progress.

In response, DrinkBox Studios and Sony have pulled the patch. Users still experiencing these issues have been advised to delete Guacamelee! from their system and redownload it. According to the DrinkBox post, Vita players should perform a cloud save first. They also report that the issue only affects saves made after obtaining Pollo Power.
