Guild Wars 2 may officially launch today, but those poor ArenaNet employees deserve a little break and so the official launch parties for the game have been pushed back until September 1.

Launch events will take place on September 1 in Seattle, Austin, Orlando, New York, and Los Angeles, with developers on hand to sign autographs, hold quizzes, raffles, give-away t-shirts, and offer a few Guild Wars 2 Collector’s Editions. There’s also an exclusive in-game item for anyone who attends an event.

Don’t worry European fans as ArenaNet has also partnered with a number of agencies to hold launch events with similar prizes.
