It’s been a very long time coming and there have been many rumors, but ArenaNet has finally put a solid release date on their highly anticipated MMO, Guild Wars 2.

The game will officially release on August 28, and signals the end of a journey that started way back in 2007 when the developer first announced it had started work on a sequel. Along with this exciting news, ArenaNet also dated the game’s final beta weekend, due to take place July 20-22.

As an extra bonus, a brand new teaser trailer has also been released, titled “Get Ready.”
