Guilty Gear Xrd Sign will wander its way out West this fall on PS3 and PS4, publisher Aksys Games confirmed to IGN.

According to IGN’s report, Xrd will feature 15 playable characters (14, if you deduct the Zato-1/Eddie duality), including a new boss character named Ramlethal Valentine. Ramlethal, in some way, is related to Guilt Gear 2: Overture’s Valentine. Developed by series creator Arc System Works (the studio behind Blazblue), Xrd will retain many of the series’ staple mechanics, including Roman Cancels, but several of these systems have been “significantly expanded and improved.” Composer Daisuke Ishiwatari will return to score the game’s soundtrack.

Guilty Gear Xrd Sign is the fifth main entry of the Guilty Gear franchise. The least installment, Guilty Gear 2: overture, launched on Xbox 360 October 7, 2008 in North America and almost a year later in Europe.
