Halo 4 senior art director Kenneth Scott is leaving 343 Industries in order to spend more time with his family, IGN reports.
A Microsoft spokesperson informed IGN that Kenneth’s replacement would be Nicolas “Sparth” Bouvier, the lead concept artist on Halo 4. Bouvier also worked on Prince of Persia, RAGE, and the original Assassin’s Creed.
Scott will continue to collaborate with 343 Industries and their projects remotely, however, serving as a visual design consultant—a position specifically created for Scott.
Earlier this week, senior PR manager for Halo and Forza Motorsport Rob Semsey confirmed that the “next Halo journey will begin in 2014” on Xbox One. According to Semsey, Halo was left off a rundown of 2014 Xbox One games because its title has not been finalized (suggesting, at least to me, that the Halo Xbox One game teased at E3 won’t simply be Halo 5 but rather something along the lines of Halo 3: ODST, perhaps).
