It’s unlikely that we will be seeing a public beta test for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC before E3, according to community director Brian Jarrard.
“Currently it doesn’t look like public flighting will begin prior to E3,” he wrote on Reddit (via PC Gamer). “The team has made a lot of progress on a number of areas but everything is just taking time (in some cases longer than initially anticipated).”
The original plan was to begin testing for the PC release in April, but the decision was made to push back the test to an undermined date. At the time, Jarrard said that hitting the quality demanded by fans was “turning out to be more challenging than first anticipated in some aspects.”
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be rolled out one game at a time on PC starting with Halo: Reach. Reach will be followed by PC releases for Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST (Campaign), and Halo 4.
