Microsoft has today announced that a new title update will be released for Halo Reach.

The update is targeted for an October release and will bring the overpowered Magnum from Halo: Combat Evolved to the game for use in certain new playlists.

The update will also make several multiplayer balance changes such as reducing the effectiveness of Armour Lock which sees players taking more damage the lower the power is.

The length of Active Camo has also been reduced and sword attacks can no longer be blocked by anything other than another sword.
