Halo: Reach Multiplayer Gameplay Tweaks Revealed

THE BUZZ: 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor has revealed some of the tweaks being made to Halo: Reach after Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is released.
Speaking to Xbox 360 Achievements, O’Connor goes into more detail:
“We’re actually adding the M60 pistol to the multiplayer suite with a title update for Halo: Reach. Most of the functionality won’t be available in Reach until Halo: CE Anniversary launches in November. We’re making some subtle and some significant changes to the Halo: Reach gameplay, and we just want to make sure that there’s a good balance of that when the game launches,” O’Connor told Xbox36achievements. ”The original plan was to make it so we could have a more classic experience in Anniversary and to do that, we had to make pretty significant changes to the gameplay in Reach.”
“You’ll still be able to play the exact same identical Reach gameplay alongside it via matchmaking, but we’ll make a classic matchmaking playlist to go with it,” he added.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s good that 343 Industries is still supporting Halo: Reach and also that they are offering Reach players a chance to test out the new Halo: CE Anniversary gameplay before throwing down some hard-earned cash to buy the game.
