Halo: Spartan Assault Arrives on Xbox One a Day Ahead of Original Release Date

Posted on December 23, 2013 AT 02:16pm

Halo: Spartan Assault, 343 and Vanguard Entertainment’s top-down shooter starring Spartan Commander Sarah Palmer, is now available on Xbox One a day before its scheduled release.

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that Spartan Assault would arrive on Xbox One tomorrow, December 24, and Xbox 360 sometime in January. A post on Xbox Wire, however—plus a quick look on Xbox One’s Games store] by yours truly just to be absolutely sure—reveals that the title is available now for $14.99 ($4.99 if you purchased either the Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 version prior to December 15).

Halo: Spartan Assault is a top-down twin-stick shooter set between Halo 3 and Halo 4. Its story focuses on Sarah Palmer and charts the rise of her career as a Spartan commander and chronicles the first missions of the Spartan Ops program.
