Halo: Spartan Assault Coming to Xbox One December 24, Xbox 360 in January

Halo: Spartan Assault, 343 and Vanguard’s top-down third-person shooter set in the Halo ‘verse, is coming to Xbox One December 24, Xbox 360 in January, Microsoft announced today.

Set between Halo 3 and Halo 4, Spartan Assault follows the military career of Commander Sarah Palmer (introduced in Halo 4) and the earliest missions of the Spartan Ops program.

The top-down shooter will run at 1080p with 60 frames per second on Xbox One, and will feature new Achievements designed exclusively for Microsoft’s new console.

Halo: Spartan Assault will cost $14.99 when it launches December 24. Players who pick up the Windows PC or Windows Phone versions before December 15 will be able to grab the Xbox One version for $4.99.
