Layoffs at Harmonix mentioned on Twitter last night were confirmed by the company this morning.
“We can confirm that a small number of Harmonix employees were let go today,” a Harmonix spokesperson informed Polygon. “This decision was made due to shifting staffing priorities for Harmonix’s multiple future projects.”
According to Polygon, only about ten employees were laid off.
Superannuation reports, however, an update to BioShock 2 lead designer Zak McClendon’s LinkedIn profile now lists him as design director at Harmonix. The company also gained Michelle Mangia,manager of engineering and platform integration at Turbine, as their new director of Quality Assurance.
