Has Apples iPad Already Taken Away The Wii U’s Most Exciting Feature?

Posted on September 2, 2011 AT 12:00am

Nintendo’s next step into the console market is hinging on their new controller, which allows players to stream content to it from their TV and allows for games to make use of two screens instead of just the one TV screen but could Apple already be moving into that territory before the Wii U even launches?

Apples new AirPlay feature that will be included in iOS 5, currently in beta testing, will allow users to stream from the iPad to their Apple TVs and seems to be implemented well with the games available.

You can check out a video of AirPlay in action below. Is this just a gimmick or is it a feature you could see yourself using?
