Hasbro and Ubisoft launching Hasbro Game Channel on PS4 and Xbox One this fall

Posted on August 6, 2014 AT 11:55am

Ubisoft and Hasbro are teaming up to bring some of your favorite physical board games to the digital sphere  on PS4 and Xbox One, the companies announced today.

The Hasbro Game Channel will launch this fall with Monopoly, Risk, and Trivial Pursuit, both in their original form and with “new gameplay modes, missions, achievements, and rewards.” Ubisoft and Hasbro hope to have “more games based on Risk and Monopoly” plus other Hasbro board games go digital and on the channel by the end of 2015. The Channel itself will serve as a family-friendly hub in which users can send each other messages and keep up with Hasbro news.

And while the Channel itself is not coming to PS3 or Xbox 360, the games will be made available individually on the now previous generation of consoles.

Ubisoft’s post did not disclose whether or not the Channel will be free, require a one-time fee, or if games will be sold individually through it.
