Could Sony have finally found a way to win against the Pirates?
After the latest Killzone 3 update that took the game up to V1.09 a new 3.60 encryption key was added preventing the game from booting on Custom PS3 Firmware 3.55.
This prevents the game from booting on the only firmware that can play pirated games on the PlayStation 3 as hackers are yet to find a way to make them boot on 3.60 or above.
It looks as if Sony will be rolling out these new encryption keys to all of their future titles so could this mean an end to piracy on the PS3?
It looks doubtful to end it completely as hackers always seem to find a way but if will certainly slow them down for a while.
