HD Remake of Capcom’s Okami Coming to PS3

The Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu will be bringing life to gaming once again, as Capcom’s classic PS2 release Okami is getting the HD treatment for PlayStation 3.
Okami—crafted by sadly short-lived independent Japanese development group Clover Studio—was one of the most high-profile late-era PS2 releases. While the game saw a re-release on the Wii in 2008, this time it looks like Capcom will be going back and giving the game a complete high-definition overhaul. Given how beautiful and stylized Okami‘s visuals were, this could end up being an amazing remake if enough effort is put into it. As well, it’s been noted that the game will support PlayStation Move control (no doubt mimicking what that Wii version of the game did via the Wii remote).
Announced via Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, the HD remaster of Okami will hit in Japan on November 1st for 3,990 yen. No announcement yet about a North American release.
Update: Capcom has officially announced that Okami HD will be released in North America this fall as a digital download via PSN for $19.99.
