Test Season 2 of Blizzard’s free-to-play card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, has been delayed until further notice due to bugs found in the latest round of maintenance.
During maintenance the team discovered several bugs that prevented the transition from Test Season 1 to Test Season 2. As a result, Test Season 1 has been extended and player ranks have not been reset, according to community manager Christina Sims. Players’ rankings are supposed to be reset every month as part of the new ranking system.
Hearthstone is currently in closed beta. It was supposed to enter open beta last month, but was pushed back to an early 2014 release “to make sure it’s ready for wider testing,” according to Blizzard.
The game is set to release initially for PC and Mac, and will hit iOS and Android devices in the second half of this year.
