Hearthstone‘s first expansion of 2018 is on the horizon and joining it will be start of a new year for the game, titled Year of the Raven.

As with last year’s Year of the Mammoth, the Year of the Raven will see a number of card sets rotated out of Standard and moved into the Wild format. Following the move into the new year, players will be limited to the Basic, Classic, Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, Kobolds & Catacombs, and the first 2018 expansion sets to create Standard decks. While the Whispers of the Old Gods, One Night in Karazhan, and Mean Streets of Gadgetzan sets will be moved into the Wild format, which allows players to create decks using every card in the game.

As well as moving whole sets, a few of the cards from the Classic set will be moved into the Hall of Fame, meaning that they can only be used in the Wild format. The cards being inducted in Year of the Raven include Ice Block, Coldlight Oracle, and Molten Giant. Players can refund these cards for their full Arcane Dust cost, if they wish to.

Year of the Raven will also increase the rewards from 40 Gold daily quests to 50 Gold and reduce the requirements for all daily missions.

Finally, Lunara will be introduced as a new hero for the Druid class for winning 10 games and support for in-game tournaments will be added.
