Heavy Rain Designer Takes Over Rainbow Six: Patriots Development

THE BUZZ: Ubisoft has announced a reshuffle in the Rainbow Six: Patriots development team, Heavy Rain and Driver: San Francisco designer Jean-Sebastien Decant has now become creative director on the project. The publisher confirmed that former director David Sears is no longer on the project.
Ubisoft told CVG in a statement, ”The Rainbow 6 Patriots development team is still hard at work to deliver the next instalment of the revered Tom Clancy series and more details on the game will be revealed at a later date.”
EGM’s TAKE: This shouldn’t cause too much of an issue with development. Patriots is already a fair way through its development cycle, so don’t expect any sweeping changes to occur before launch. However, it does mean that some slight nuances can be added to the game which may just push it to be a little better than before. Especially with game choices, considering that Jean-Sebastien Decant worked on Heavy Rain.
