Helldivers, the upcoming top-down twin-stick shooter from Magicka developer Arrowhead Game Studios, will arrive on PS4, PS3, and Vita this summer, Sony revealed.

Sony social media specialist Ryan Clements revealed the release window in a post on the PlayStation Blog, wherein he also detailed a few of the game’s ins and outs, such as squad loadouts. According to Clements, each soldier in Helldivers has slots for a primary weapon, a sidearm, grenades, and “strategems”—abilities that let players call in orbital support in the forms of ammo drops, auto turrets, and replacement troops. T

he different combinations of loadouts and strategems in turn offers co-op players a variety of ways to form strategies when dealing with enemies across the game’s various procedurally generated stages—cooperation necessitated by communication and planning, since friendly fire is always on in Helldivers.

Arrowhead’s top-down twin-stick shooter was first announced and revealed during Gamescom last year.
