Elite Dangerous

A recent livestream by Frontier Developments offered a first look at Elite Dangerous’ upcoming character creator feature, which will allow players to create their own commander.

The creator allows players to select their gender, suit, headgear, age, scars, eye color, and much more. Check it out in the video below starting at the 8:30 mark.

Players will be able to access the commander creator at any point from their ship.

The creator will be introduced as part of Elite Dangerous‘ 2.3 update, which also includes a new vanity camera and multicrew ships. A beta version of the update is scheduled to go live on February 26th.

Yesterday, Frontier announced that it is pulling Elite Dangerous: Arena, the game’s standalone PvP client, from sale on Xbox One and PC due to a lack of interest.

Elite Dangerous is available now on Xbox One and PC, and will be coming to PlayStation 4 in Q2 2017.
