The Nintendo Switch’s launch is drawing ever closer, and that means it’s time for fans to start dreaming of how they’ll customize their very own consoles. Now that a few Switch units have appeared in the wild, it’s possible to see the entire list of avatars players can choose to represent their online personas.
There are 60 icons available upon booting up the Switch, each with a different character or symbol from some of Nintendo’s most popular games. You’ll be able to pick from a selection of Mario, Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, Star Fox, and Metroid avatars. So, these are evidently the icons you can use (aside from Mii) on Switch. I have some issues with the selection, but SOLD ON MARIE ICON. pic.twitter.com/wQYTHKQGBn

Each of the icons above can be further customized by changing the color of the background.
Additionally, it’s possible to create a personal Mii for use as an avatar. Mii-making on the Switch is a more sophisticated process than it was on the Wii and Wii U; there are now more hairstyles and expressions, and players can pick custom colors from a gradient instead of a limited palette. Miis can also make different faces and pose, much as they can in the mobile app Miitomo.
The Switch launch is less than two weeks away. Consoles will hit shelves on Friday, March 3rd.
