Square Enix has released update 4.5, otherwise known as A Requiem for Heroes, for Final Fantasy XIV on PlayStation 4 and PC.

The update introduces new main scenario quests and new entries in The Four Lords and Return to Ivalice quest lines, as well as new craftable items, mounts, armor, and weapons.

Players also gain access to the brand-new Blue Mage job. The Blue Mage can learn powerful skills from enemies, but is capped at level 50 and cannot take part in group content. Square Enix plans to up the level cap of the Blue Mage and introduce new abilities to learn throughout the Shadowbringers expansion.

In other news, the Heavensturn event is ongoing until January 15th, during which players can earn the Inoshishi Kabuto and Boar’s Head Kadomatsu.

Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
