Tom Clancy's The Division

The Division‘s latest major update, 1.7, is now live across all platforms.

For those who have missed previous coverage, the major addition in this update is the new Global Events system. Each month an event will be active for one week that will add a modifier to all PvE content, such as making enemy heads explode from headshots. Taking part in a Global Event will award tokens that can be used to purchase new Classified Gear Sets and unique vanity items.

Classified Gear Sets are stronger versions of existing Gear Sets that feature five and six-piece bonuses. Each Global Event will introduce three new Classified Gear Sets that will then drop in the open-world after the event ends.

As well as the new event and gear, update 1.7 also introduces the Commendations and Patches system. Following the update, players will have hundreds of new challenges to complete that offer Commendation Score and new patches as rewards.

Other changes include new Face Mask vanity items, shared blueprints and currencies, weapon balance changes, and the Encrypted Caches. These new caches contain unique appearance items, emotes, and skins, and can only be opened using keys that are either found in the game or purchased with real money.

The Division is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
