Blizzard has revealed that Overwatch‘s fourth competitive season will come to a close on May 28th at 5 p.m. PDT.
“We are indeed adding a countdown to the current competitive season’s end in an upcoming patch,” principal designer Scoot Mercer wrote on the official forums. “In the meantime, I can let you know that Season 4 will end on May 29 at 0:00 UTC. We decided to have a shorter amount of ‘offseason’ time without competitive play as compared to previous seasons.”
Players will be awarded Competitive Points based on their final rank, as well as a Hanamura-themed player icon and spray. Players who reach the top 500 this season will also get an animated version of the spray.
Season 5 of Competitive Play is scheduled to begin in early June.
Last week, Blizzard explained why Overwatch players are unable to transfer their skins and items between platforms.
