We still don’t know much about the trippy, surreal world of Death Stranding, but Hideo Kojima is dropping more clues.
In a recent post to his Instagram, Hideo Kojima revealed a star-shaped spiderweb logo along with a single word: Bridges.
While the image doesn’t reveal much on its own, observant fans have already pieced together some information about Bridges from the trailers and reveals we’ve seen over the past year. Just prior to last year’s E3, Kojima posted the same logo, but with the black and white colors inverted from the logo shown above. This Bridges logo has also appeared on the hazard suits of characters, as a pin on Guillermo Del Toro’s character’s lapel, and on an early sketch of Ludens, the Kojima Productions mascot.
The Bridges group or organization seems to have some connection with another conglomerate in Kojima’s world, the United Cities of America. Fans are still trying to piece together how the different parts of Death Stranding‘s world fit together, but many parts of the game are still a mystery.
Progress on the game seems to be going well, since Kojima has recently posted more screenshots showing off the effects of the Decima Engine. The game is scheduled to appear as part of the PlayStation showcase just prior to this year’s E3, so we’ll likely get another look at it soon.
We’ll see Sony’s showcase, featuring Death Stranding, on June 11th. The game itself currently has no release date, but is in development for PlayStation 4.
