Warner Bros. Games has accidentally spoiled the upcoming announcement of IO Interactive’s next Hitman game.
Yesterday, the Twitter accounts for Hitman and Warner Bros. Games put up teaser videos for a new game that will be announced on Thursday. However, shortly after the tease, a logo for Hitman 2 appeared on Warner Bros. Games’ official site, ruining the surprise.

The image has since been removed, but not before the internet got a hold of it.
News of a new entry in the Hitman series first surfaced last year when IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak revealed that the development team was making “great progress” on the next Hitman. At the time he said that the upcoming entry will feature “exciting new features and some franchise firsts.”
For those of you wondering what Warner Bros. has to do with Hitman. Back in April, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment signed a deal with IO Interactive to publish and distribute the series.
As mentioned above, Hitman 2 will officially be unveiled on Thursday, June 7th at 10 a.m. PT.
