THE BUZZ: Square-Enix has trademarked Hitman: Profession, which many believe to be the new game in the franchise that was mentioned last year.

The trademark was registered on December 22, around the same time that Square announced that a new studio will be created, known as Square-Enix Montreal, in order to work on, ”a new premium quality game” in the Hitman franchise.

EGM’s TAKE: Based on the timeline it stands a good chance that this is the working title of this new game, however it stands just as much chance of just being a placeholder name.
