Gearbox Software, proud new owners of the Homeworld series IP following THQ’s bankruptcy sale earlier this year, have put out a survey to gather feedback for their upcoming Homeworld HD remakes.
“Please understand that your responses to this survey will be taken seriously, but we cannot guarantee that we will act upon your suggestions,” reads the surveys’ Welcome page. “Although you won’t be compensated for completing this survey, you may receive our gratitude for being one of the most awesome people in the world—a member of our community.”
The survey collects all the usual information—age range, gender, platforms owned, platforms most played, how many hours a week spent gaming, preferred genres—and also gauges interest in a Collector’s Edition for the HD rereleases. The survey asks participants what they’d most want included in a Collector’s Edition, such as in-game rewards, an art book, a map of the universe, prints of concept art, and/or a physical ship model.
Homeworld HD and Homeworld 2 HD are both set to launch on Windows PC sometime 2014. A brand new installment, titled Homeworld: Shipbreakers, is also being developed by Blackbird Interactive.
