THE BUZZ: Any fighting aficionado worth their salt will tell you in order to be taken seriously you’re going to need a fighting joystick. Luckily for us the Hori Facebook page recently announced they are making a fighting stick for Namco’s upcoming brawler SoulCalibur V. The stick is said to be modelled after the NOIR Japanese Arcade Cabinet and will be released in the U.S. January 2012 for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

EGM’s TAKE: As mentioned above, if you’re a fan of the fighting genre you probably own a fighting stick already, but not a SoulCalibur V fighting stick. So if you’re like us and we’re sure you are, you’ll want to show off every new piece of geek you can to your friends, mother, or cats, and they’ll feign interest just long enough to appease you. But when they leave you’ll have to justify owning five oversized joysticks for what is essentially a two player game. Oh, the plight of a hardcore gamer.
