THE BUZZ: Human Head studios has hinted at a sequel to Rune, the third-person action title released back in 2000.

In a Facebook post the studio stated, “We considering a sequel to the cult hit classic Rune!”

The developer asked fans to share the news on Facebook and Twitter and leave their thoughts. Of course many simply asked where Prey 2 was. Last month reliable sources claimed that the game had been cancelled. Human Head have so far ignored these questions.

EGM’s TAKE: Yet another classic title looks set to get a reboot. Rune was based on Norse mythology and showed the war between the gods Odin and Loki. It released to mixed, but generally positive reviews. It seems a little odd that the studio would be discussing its next project before finishing Prey 2. Could this be an indication that the rumors are true? We’d like to get some clarification on the matter before we start getting excited about a Rune sequel.
