Redditor XsimonbelmontX, in an effort to wow his wife for her birthday, created a Fallout-themed version of Monopoly.

The redditor describes his wife as a “huge Fallout fan,” and on Reddit’s /r/gaming hub describes how he spent 8 months designing and developing the one-of-a-kind version of monopoly inspired by Fallout’s post-apocalyptic ruin.

“It is more than just Monopoly,” the redditor described. “The basics are there, but I added and changed a lot of rules, there are attacks, items, perks, and different playing strategies, it’s much more exciting than standard Monopoly.”

XsimonbelmontX painted over an actual Monopoly board, designed bottle caps to stand in for currency, and even the Tokens with Fallout-inspired board pieces such as a six-pack of Nuka Cola and tiny, tiny Pip-Boy 3000 made from “about 20 different little pieces of plastic from various models, all melted and glued together.”

You can see the redditor’s full gallery and project details on his imgur album.
