THE BUZZ: Doom developer id Software has responded to the recent Doom 4 related rumors and leaks claiming they have nothing to do with these unofficial postings.

Matthew Hooper, design director, recently responded to a Twitter message claiming that the leaked images look similar to Rage by stating:

“Oh I see. Those images have nothing to do with what you’re gonna see in Doom4. When we officially show things you’ll see awesome.”

EGM’s TAKE: So it appears that the leaked images aren’t related to Doom 4 at all and if they are real then they must be just rough concepts using Rage as a template. We certainly can’t wait to see the awesome. Hopefully it will be worth it.
