id Software: Rage Is ‘Arguably The Best Looking Game On The Consoles Today’

id Software co-founder John Carmack and his team have always pushed technology to the limit with its games and it would appear that Rage will be no different, they plan on getting as much out of the current generation as they can.

In the latest developer diary for the game one of the team made this bold statement;

We are arguably the best looking game on the consoles today and the
point is we are running at two times the frame rate of what other people
might argue is the best looking console game

It’s a brave statement to make and you have to be able to back it up and from what I’ve seen of Rage so far they certainly can.
