The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian has not been canceled, confirmed Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida, and if it ever is Sony will tell you.

During a recent interview, Polygon asked Yoshida about the mysterious title. “It exists. The team is working hard on it,” he said. “I was heartbroken when some article came out on some major site saying it was canceled.

“I will say this. When we cancel a title and it is something we have announced already, we’ll say so,” he added. “It’s a highly anticipated title, we have to do so.”

The Last Guardian has been in development at Team ICO for around seven years, and was officially announced five years ago. Since then reports of the title being canceled, being took back to the drawing board, and being turned into a PlayStation 4 title has all surfaced, some several times.
